Moses Abbott and His Grandchildren

This picture is a copy of a 1911 portrait that my great-great-grandfather, Moses Lyon Abbott, had made with his two grandchildren, Freda Cornelia Brown (about two years old) and Sheldon Abbott Brown (about 6 months old). Moses was born in New York in about 1836.

I made this copy using a 35mm camera, a +3 close-up filter, and a copy stand. I used ASA 200 Kodacolor film and natural light, no flash or other lights. The negative was scanned using a Nikon Cool Scan II slide scanner, Photoshop, and a Macintosh Performa computer.
