Skagit Valley Tulips

Every spring, the Skagit Valley -- a short hours drive north of Seattle, Washington -- comes alive with the colors of tulips. Fields of yellow, red, orange, and white greet visitors as they drive through the valley. The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival (2009 dates: April 1 through April 30) is held in honor of this bulb, a member of the lily family. Please enjoy the photos on this page; drop me an e-mail if you have any comments or questions. Check out the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Web site for more information about the tulip festival and other activities in the Skagit Valley. You can also enjoy a virtual tour of the Skagit Valley tulip fields.
