COPS LocalTalk PC Board
Here's a little more information about the COPS LocalTalk PC board.
Most all of the information below was supplied to me by Guy Mariande,
President of COPS, Inc.
COPS is the only current manufacturer of LocaTalk boards. They OEM to
Farallon and others.
COPS now has NDIS and TCP/IP for LT (using Win95 stack, you can bind
TCP/IP to LT).
COPS is quite happy to share information with developers. In
particular, they can provide all specs for LAP interface, downloadable
firmware, DDP or any level of the stack.
Currently, COPS is working on LocalTalk directly to POTS for high
speed internet access. They have developed a Dats/Voice filter that
combines both over a single pair. BTB, this will allow true "phone
net" in a home, using only the inner pair and not distrubing the
dial-tone, voice etc.
COPS (most employees are from Tangent Technologies, PC MacBridge et al).
