Viewpiece

In 1880 a telescope was a thing you actually looked through, directly with your eye. The telescope operator sits or stands at this end of the scope to look out. To turn the telescope to a different part of the universe you can just grab and drag the white wheel, shown here, or turn the "ship's wheels" shown in the previous picture.
