Waimea canyon. Very early on in the trip, I realized the futility of trying to use the viewfinder of my cameras (both my digital and my SLR). All these pictures taken in flight are shot from the hip -- literally. The helicopter skind and a bit of my jeans appear in the lower left corner of this photo.
